If you believe all of the hype by the Leftist Democrats, Americans are on the road to Utopia.
Now that the Democrats have control of the White House and both houses of Congress, they are promising us that all of our troubles are over. All we have to do is surrender all of our rights and freedoms to them and they will lead us down the road to eternal bliss, where they will provide for our every need.
And if you believe that, I have some beachfront property in the middle of Kansas I’d love to sell you.
The word “Utopia” was crafted by Sir Thomas Moore in 1516 for his book of the same name. Utopia comes from a combination of the Greek words “ou” (not) and “topos” (place), which translates as “no place”. Utopia therefore literally means “a place that does not exist”.
In his book, Moore described Utopia as a fictional island society in the south Atlantic that provided a near-perfect quality of life for its citizens
That is what the Democrats are now promising us. And like the Utopia described by Moore, it is a fictional society. It does not and cannot exist.
As Victor Hugo once said, “There is nothing like a dream to create the future. Utopia today, flesh and blood tomorrow.”
Democrats are promising a future created from a dream, a dream that is in reality a nightmare. They are promising a society based upon the principals of socialism, and every society that has ever been based upon socialism has failed.
Even Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels understood that socialism would not create a utopian society and used the word utopia to describe unscientific social theories.
The Utopian society that the Democrats envision is only “utopian” for the global elites, the leaders of the New World Order. And of course, that includes our benevolent leaders.
For the rest of us, Utopia will never be anything else than a dream – a pipe dream.
The Road to Utopia that the Democrats want to lead us down is a long and winding road to nowhere, a journey that once begun will only lead to misery and failure - a Utopian Hell!
If you really want to live in Utopia, then I suggest you move to one of the six cities/towns in the United States named Utopia (Utopia, Florida; Utopia, Kansas; Utopia, Illinois; Utopia, New York; Utopia, Ohio; Utopia, Texas).
Or, if you are a bit more adventurous, you might consider moving to Utopia, New South Wales, Australia.
And while all of these places may be wonderful places to call home, I can assure you that they are a far cry from the Utopia envisioned by Sir Thomas Moore or promised by the Democrats.
And that fact alone probably makes them seem more like Utopia than the fictional Utopia itself.
